Today, my sister Kaitlin is heading off to Mexico. She is doing an eight week study on midwives in Oaxaca. Why does she get to go to Mexico for tequila and tacos, while I'm stuck in Cairo with tea and molikhaya (aka:camel snot soup)?
Have a safe trip Kait. And for God's sake don't eat the cerviche!

Hi,
I hope this gets to you, as I have never responded to a blog. Your place looks kinda nice. But what I wanted to tell you is that Mohammed Elnabtity, Chris' partner is in Cairo now with his pregnant wife and 3 year old son. Ranya, and Eebraheem, are their names. Anyway, I believe his email is melnabtity@hotmail.com. I told him you would be there and he said for yu to contact him. If the email is wrong, email me and I will confirm the correct address for you. He is about 40, and a good guy, born in the US, i believe, but his wife is from Cairo. Anyway, hope all is well, and hope to hear from you soon. Love Ruth

you should eat some (and by some I mean a lot) of fiteer for me and Kaitlin (especially with bananas and chocolate inside). also, I believe one can only get hepatitis A once so she should be relatively safe... (knock on wood). hope you are doing well! love Sarah
